Vassil Stefanov Simov, Chairman of the Management Board and Executive Director 

Mr. Vassil Stefanov Simov is Chairman of the Management Board and Executive director of BACB. On August 15, 2011, Mr. Vassil Simov was entered in the Commercial Register in his capacity of Executive Director of BACB.    

Mr. Vasil Simov has occupied senior management positions at CIBANK AD where he has been a member of the Management Board since 2001 and was successively elected as Chairman of the Management Board and Executive Director in 2002. Since 1998 up to date Mr. Simov has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Sofia Commodity Exchange AD. Mr. Simov has been serving as a member of the Board of Directors of CSIF AD Since 2007. From 1994 until 1996 Mr. Simov has been Chairman of the Supervisory Board of “General Insurance Company” AD.

Mr. Vasil Simov holds a Master degree in Economics from "Karl Marx" Institute of Economy (currently University of National and World Economy) and has qualifications in "Trade with derivative and financial instruments" from Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Washington D.C., USA, and “Futures Trading at the Stock Exchange”, ACDI/VOCA, Washingon D.C.

Tanya Ilieva Keremidchieva, Executive Director and Member of the Management Board

The Supervisory Board of BACB appointed Mrs. Tanya Ilieva Keremidchieva as  a member of the Management Board of BACB on 22 July 2011. Pursuant to a resolution of the Management Board (approved by the Supervisory Board), Mrs. Tanya Keremidchieva was also appointed as Executive directors of BACB. On August 15, 2011, Mrs. Tanya Keremidchieva was entered in the Commercial Register in her capacity of member of the Management Board and Executive Director of BACB.

Mrs. Keremidchieva has occupied the position Head of Department “Methodology, Planning and Analysis of the Banking Activity” at CIBANK AD since 2000 up to the moment she joined BACB. From 1998 to 2000 Mrs. Keremidchieva has served as a member of the Management Board and Executive Director of CIBANK AD. In the period 1997-1998 Mrs. Keremidchieva was Head of Department “Liquidity, Markets and Analysis” and member of the Management Board of Commercial Bank “Bulgaria Invest” AD/ “Alianz Bulgaria” AD.

Mrs. Keremidchieva’s professional experience in banking began in 1977 and, in addition to the positions mentioned above,  includes work sequentially for Bulgarian National Bank - Sofia City Bank, BSI Mineralbank, TS Bank AD, Balkan Universal Bank AD.

Mrs. Tanya Keremidchieva holds a Master degree in Finance from “D.A. Tzenov” Institute for Finance and Economy, Svishtov, Bulgaria. 

Ilian Petrov Georgiev, Member of the Management Board

Mr. Ilian Georgiev is member of the Management Board and Head of Lending Division.

Erlier Mr. Ilian Georgiev was Head of Large Corporate Banking and Deputy Head of Corporate Banking at Eurobank EFG Bulgaria AD (Postbank). From September 2003 to November 2005 Mr. Georgiev led a team in Large Corporate Banking Department at Postbank. During the period April 1998 - August 2003 Mr. Georgiev worked for Economic and Investment Bank AD as in 2001 he was appointed Head of Corporate Loans.

Mr. Georgiev has a Master's degree in Economics from the University of National and World Economy, Subject: Accounting and Control.

Silvia Kirilova Kirilova, Member of the Management Board

Mrs. Kirilova is member of the Management Board since March 2009.

Earlier Mrs. Kirilova worked as Legal Advisor of the bank and since 2005 she has been Head of BACB’s Legal Department.

During the period 2000 - 2001 Mrs. Kirilova worked at Emporiki Bank (Commercial Bank of Greece) as Director of the CEO’s office. From 1996 to 2000 Mrs. Kirilova was First Corporate Relations Associate and then Legal Advisor at Interlease AD where she specialized in the field of Commercial Law, Finance and Leasing deals.

Mrs. Kirilova is a lawyer and a member of Sofia Bar Association since 2001. She has an LLM degree from the University of Sofia and an LLM degree in International Business Law from the Central European University (certified by New York State Education Department).
