Dear customers,

As of Monday,  January 01, 2022, changes in the National Payment System BISERA6 will come into force - non-budgetary transfers up to BGN 100,000 via BISERA will be transmitted and received significantly faster, in a wider time range. This will not reflect the way of your work with the bank and there is no need for additional actions on your side. Payments from/to the budget and payments via RINGS remain unchanged.

The change reflects on the way of communication between the banks, represents a significant upgrade of BISERA6 and is a transitional step towards instant payments.

On 28.01.2022 at the end of the day, all banks will switch over to the new BISERA6 infrastructure. In this regard, we would like to inform you about the way of accepting and processing payment orders in BGN on Friday, 28.01.2022:

1. Payment orders in BGN deposited at the Bank's counters until 13:30 will be processed and executed within the same working day. Payment orders in BGN deposited after 13:30 will be processed and executed on 31.01.2022.
2. The online banking applications will accept orders from customers for execution on the same business day until 15:00. Transfers ordered after 15:00 will be processed and executed on 31.01.2022.
3. Direct debit requests with an execution date of 28.01.2022 will not be accepted and processed. These can only be accepted with a date of 31.01.2022.
4. Direct debit requests received, for which there is no sufficient funds, at 1:30 will be refused.
5. Unspecified transfers in BGN received by 13:30 will be returned

There are NO changes in the schedule for execution of outgoing payments in foreign currency and outgoing payments in leva via RINGS.
