Clients' security will be guaranteed also by introducing limits

Users of transactional portal Virtual Bank BACB Plus will be able to bank securely and with the new mean of authorization E-TAN.

E-TAN (electronic transaction authorization number) is an innovative tool for signing and sending of operations, payment and other instructions in the transactional portal BACB Plus. It allows individual and business customers to sign payment operations, instructions and requests.

Upon signing of an operation with E-TAN, customers receive a code via free SMS. Using E-TAN is free – there is no monthly or subscription fee. For bigger security, in combination with E- TAN, SMS received by the client contains data for the operation as type, account beneficiary, amount, date and time.

Effective from January 11, 2016 the security of BACB Plus users will be further guaranteed also by the introduction of limits on operations. The limits are at the level of individual and business clients in the transactional portal and the mobile application. The limits will be daily, weekly and on document.

The standard limits are in BGN regardless of the currency of the customer's account and are as follows:

Standard limit for individual clients

• Limit for document: 20 000 BGN 
• Daily limit : 20 000 BGN 
• Weekly limit: 140 000 BGN

Standard limit for business clients 

• Limit for document: 500 000 BGN 
• Daily limit:  500 000 BGN 
• Weekly limit: 3 500 000 BGN

Standard limit for mobile banking

• Limit for document: 5 000 BGN 
• Daily limit: 5 000 BGN 
• Weekly limit: 35 000 BGN

Current limits are set out in the Bank's tariff as of January 11, 2016.

Upon request, clients may change his/her limits in the bank’s office by signing "Statement of changes of limits“, other than the standard level of customer or user account. After filing a declaration, the changes will be processed by the Bank within three working days.

Effective from January 11, 2016, the General Conditions for remote banking and the Tariff of the bank are amended and supplemented with the changes above.
