BACB publishes its Sustainability Report for 2024
Bulgarian-American Credit Bank (BACB) presents its Sustainability Report for 2024, which summarizes the bank's main results, initiatives, and priorities in the field of sustainable development during the year. The document tracks the progress of BACB's strategic goals and efforts to integrate ESG principles into its core activities, corporate governance, and interactions with customers and partners.
The report includes data and examples of completed projects related to environmental protection, social engagement, and good governance. Key highlights include the transition to 100% green electricity for the bank's central offices in Sofia, which significantly reduces direct carbon emissions, as well as the launch of the "BACB Forest" initiative, under which 20,000 Atlas cedar saplings were planted in the Stara Zagora area.
The report also presents the development of sustainable financing, the analysis of financed emissions according to the PCAF methodology, as well as information on employee engagement, training, and social initiatives implemented in 2024.
