In order to increase the security of your card payments online and in relation to the requirements of  Bulgarian legislation and Directive (EU) 2015/2366 on payment services in the internal market, BACB AD will automatically register each payment card for additional level of security. We will apply new VISA and MASTERCARD standards requiring two factors for your identification as a cardholder: dynamic one-time code delivered to you via SMS and a static permanent password that you must create to be usedfor approval of your online card payments.

Before start of the service, you will receive SMS on your cell phone, which will contain a temporary registration password. With this SMS you will also receive a link that will direct you to a portal with the logo of BACB AD, where you need to identify yourself as a cardholder of the Bank, and will be asked to use the received temporaryregistratioin password in order to create your own permanent one.

After registration of your permanent password, during each online card payment to a merchant registered for secure online payments, you will be directed as usual to BACB AD portal, where you will be asked to input your static password together with the one-time dynamic code sent to your mobile device via SMS. The combination of these two factors provide a higher level of security for payment transactions made with a payment card and validate your identity.
