With the introduction of the euro, the Direct Debit service will no longer be offered by BACB and other banks
Dear clients,
We inform you that starting from January 1, 2026, the date of the euro's adoption in Bulgaria, banks in Bulgaria will terminate to offer the Direct Debit service. This means that:
- Clients of BACB will not be able to submit payment orders for direct debit to counterparties in other banks.
- Clients of BACB who have submitted Direct Debit Agreements will not receive requests from their counterparties for direct debit, and at the end of the year, BACB will deactivate them automatically.
In connection with the above, we recommend that clients currently using the service arrange another payment method with their counterparties.
