1. Check your bank statements often

Since time is essential to get complete protection against fraud with your card from your bank, get used to checking your bank account online at least once a week or even daily.

2. Protect your PIN

Do not give your personal identification number (PIN) to anyone, and do not keep it stored anywhere in your bag or wallet. When entering it during a transaction, do not allow anyone to see it.  

3. Use secure ATMs only

ATMs located in hidden and dark places without surveillance cameras carry a higher risk of placing a skimming device that can intercept and store your card data.

4. Do not use public WIFI with free access for financial transactions

Make sure you use a password-protected wireless signal to check your bank account balance, pay bills, and shop so that hackers are less likely to capture your password and account information.

5. Report problems immediately

Report immediately if your wallet is stolen and your credit and debit cards are missing; you must also immediately report any unauthorized transactions to the Bank and request blocking of payment instruments.

6. Beware of unexpected emails, text messages, or calls from your bank, and consult your bank if you detect anything insecure before replying to emails or text messages.
7. Phishing websites

Phishing websites look like real websites to trick you into revealing your card information. Here are some signs to look out for: Wrong URL, spelling mistakes, design or pages of websites that do not look right.

8. Email fraud

Email frauds are usually aimed at getting you to reveal your card details. Popular frauds include emails that offer you a large sum of money for a small fee or an email of the type "You are the winner - take your prize".
